ROGER GABB
Chairman & Founder
Roger Gabb was the founder and Chairman of Western Wines established in 1980. Western Wines evolved from being an importer and supplier of private label wine for the UK's multiple grocery market, to become the UK's largest branded supplier of South African wine with over 40% market share. Roger was the original brains behind the global brand Kumala. The energy and vision that made the Kumala Brand so successful is employed today through Journey's End albeit at a premium level.

ROLLO GABB
Sales & Marketing Director
Rollo has been working with Journey's End since its conception. He joined the wine industry in 1997, and having gained experience working vintages at Wirra Wirra in Australia and Highfield in New Zealand, joined Western Wines in 1998. He has eight years' extensive experience selling wine to major multiples and retailers. He has additional experience of the On-trade as a partner in London's successful FINO, Barrafina and Quo Vadis restaurants. |

PAUL FOURIE
Vineyard Manager
Paul Fourie has a profound understanding of how to produce exceptional grapes in Somerset West. Paul has been with us from the beginning, overseeing all aspects of the vineyard and farm management. Arriving in October 1998, he was instrumental in the removal of all of the old vines and ensured that we planted clones that were most suitable for this cool region. He manages a team of nine permanent staff and up to forty casual labourers. |

LEON ESTERHUIZEN
Winemaker
Leon Esterhuizen graduated from Elsenburg College (Stellenbosch) in 2003 with a Diploma in Viticulture and Oenology. He joined Journey's End in 2004 and assisted in the winemaking in the winery and was employed as winemaker in 2005. His winemaking experience includes harvests at Chappelle Estate in Napa Valley and Bodegas Castano in the Murcia Valley (Spain). |
